The Ferry Routes
Our normal route to Spain, when possible is on the Plymouth to Santander sailing on the new Brittany ferry the Pont - aven.If you are accompanying our van on the journey you will find this new ferry very comfortable and a peaceful and relaxing way to spend the 18 hours or so it takes cross to Spain. If this route is not sailing then we usually travel on a Plymouth or Portsmouth ferry and drive down through France to Spain over 2 days, stopping overnight around the Spanish border for a good night’s sleep and a meal.
